Primary Consumers

In the Taiga habitat there is a large food chain with many herbivores, or primary consumers. Some examples of primary consumers in the Taiga are: snowshoe rabbits, red squirrels, voles, red deer, elk, and moose. These animals eat producers like grass and other plants. Each of these animals are prey of several animals instead of just one.
